A Statement is then produced showing the leave of absence already taken by Mr Imate since his arrival in the Colony in April, 1861; and it appearing that he had used up all the leave to which he was entitled; viz:- 1 year and 11 months, - without counting vacation leave, the Council concurs in His Excellency's suggestion, that six months Sick Leave on half Salary should be granted to the Chief Justice on the ground of ill health; and leave to commence immediately.
